What is the best kind of horse race to handicap and bet? That is a question that many horse players ask themselves when they find that they are losing and want to stop buying those losing tickets and start buying winners. The problem is that all horse races and all tracks are not created equally.

Some well meaning pundits have steered punters toward claiming races stating that they are the best because each horse is entered according to its fair value. In an allowance race for young horses you may see future stakes champions racing against horses that will soon be descending the claiming ladder. There may be a wider spread in the odds in an allowance race and standout horses rarely pay well.

On the other hand, maiden races, especially the high end maiden special weight events, may also have a wide range of ability dispersed among the runners. Once again, there may be a future triple crown champion racing against others that will never win a single race. While it may be easy to spot the stand outs in these events, it is very difficult to get good odds on them and therefore, hard to make a profit with them.

The one thing we haven’t discussed yet that probably is the most important factor in finding races that you can make money on is you. What is your strength and what is your weakness? Are you good at spotting trainer angles that pay? Do you have the ability to look at horses in the post parade and spot winners?

The perfect horse race for you to handicap and bet on is the one that you can figure out and find a good wager from. Think about each kind of race and then think about how you like to find good bets. What are your strengths and weaknesses? Use that information to find the right race. I always advise horse players to try all kinds of races and keep accurate records of all bets. After a month or so of wagering on paper or making small wagers, look at the horses you picked and the odds at post time.

Considered as among the most popular forms of betting game, horse racing has been embraced by so many countries in the world. As a matter of fact, the countries that authorize the existence of this wagering game are reaping enormous earnings through it. Only that some countries that patronize this kind of betting game vary in the racing events that are included in the game, the distances of the racing track and the technique used in racing.

For some people horse racing is just a contest but there’s more to it that makes people become horse racing wagering buffs. It is regarded by many as a very exhilarating and money-spinning type of sport. If you don’t know anything on how this game works, then you’re missing the chance to earn profits.

An individual must have the information on horse racing tips in order to increase the odds of winning. Not anything is more enjoyable than finding good long shot and then betting it for winning at the horse racing just to cash in large tickets. It is very exhilarating watching horses at the long odds approach flying down to the stretch as well as to understand that an individual was lucky or smart enough to put money on it. But, horse racing is a very tough game to gamble on.

Even with the good horse racing tips gaming enthusiasts find it to be still difficult finding the long shots, which have chances of winning. People at the race track always try to acquire their hands-on the horse racing tips. If anybody has some hot tips concerning a horse then in second race, others would clamor knowing all things about it.

Now, before you say “what kind of horse racing tip is this, John?”, let me explain. I am not saying that is not to bet “in running” is one of my horse racing tips golden rules, I just refer to the fact that it can be extremely risky when it’s done whilst listening to the race at the radio or watching it on TV, because of the delay. So, unless you are there at the race, you o not want to risk betting on “in running” horse racings.

Most people who become interested in racing, if pinned down and forced to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, would admit that they know very little about horses, racing and the figuring of winners. Whether or not they admit these facts to you or to me, nevertheless they know them in their own hearts. The net result of this condition is to throw a substantial majority of bettors on the mercy of those who claim to know what it is all about.

If you’re going to get interested in horse racing, avoid these scams by building a basic foundation of horse racing information and learning about the horses competing in the race before you go to the race.

The post position is where a race horse starts his race and it can have a variable effect on the outcome of the race, which in turn, can have an affect on your horseracing handicap.

If we return to the physical aspects of the problem, let us remember that a half mile harness track is oval in shape, having four turns in its perimeter. The starting point at most tracks is about two-thirds of the way down the stretch. Hence, after the start is made the horses have only a few hundred feet in which to jockey for position prior to arriving at the first turn. If you are at all familiar with harness racing, then you will be aware of the difficulties involved if a horse is outside on a turn. Most drivers prefer to go into a turn running on the rail, and to do their positioning on the straightaway.

Is the a real horse racing betting formula and can it make you a winner every time?

The best way to test the strategy is with minimum bets exactly how the strategy says to. Once you have proven that it is going to make you money a few times start to increase your bets as you become comfortable.

This article is from a life coach and horse owner for horse owners, in order to help have a harmonious life which includes your horse.

There is a competition you want to go to. It could be a show, a dressage test or an event. It could be an endurance ride. Whatever it is you want to do, to be successful at it you must put a plan in place.

Lack of planning can be disastrous. The secret to achieving your goals is planning. Knowing what your goals are is the starting point in your planning process. It is all very well to know what you want to achieve, but knowing how to get there is what you must work out, before you begin. Use these 6 Steps to guide you through the planning process that successful people use.

By planning you will have a much better chance of achieving the success you want by entering the competition.

1. Write down your goal. Make it clear and specific. State exactly what the goal is and when it needs to be achieved by. Set a date and determine how you will know it has been achieved. Are you being realistic in your goal and that it is achievable? If you have a specific competition in mind, you need to take into account what you need to do to get there.

2. Identify what is needed to achieve the goal. It’s important to identify people with the appropriate skills to include in the plan. Is there extra or special training necessary for you and horse to maximize a successful outcome?

3. Determine the steps you need to take. Write down a sequential series of steps that you will take, from the first one through to the last one. Allow a little flexibility in case you have to make modifications along the way. This would be your training schedule.

4. Be aware of any problems that could hinder your progress. Allow some flexibility in your time frames for problems that you can’t predict. The weather might not cooperate, you or your horse might have an off day or two, or there might be something else.

5. Establish a timetable for each step. Assess the amount of work and how much time this will take for each step. This will give you the information you need to set timeframes for completing each step. This is part of your training program.

6. Monitor your progress. Once you begin working on the steps of your plan you need to keep track of your progress. Check that you are making the desired progress in the time that you have set and if necessary speed up the work if you are slowing down. If you are making progress more quickly than anticipated you may wish to change your schedule to slow it down some. This is important since you don’t want to train too hard and create a problem for you or your horse because you over did it.

If you want to achieve your goals, create a carefully thought out plan. Keep these Top 6 planning tips in mind always.

Good planning is what makes a successful competition for you and your horse!
