Today horse race betting is a popular past time all over the world and millions are wagered on some races. Even so some people do not understand some of the betting terms used so in this tip shall explain some of the more common ones.

Win Only- This is a straight forward bet on a selected horse to win the race.

Each Way – Sometimes called win and place. It is in fact two bets the first on the horse winning the race and the second on it achieving a place. The price that you get for a placed is a fraction of the odds that you would get for the horse winning. For instance if the horse was priced at 5/1 and you backed it each way for £10. That would be £10 to win and £10 a place. If it came second in an 8 runner race you would receive I/5th the odds i.e. 1/1 which would mean that the each way portion of the bet would pay you £10 + £10 = £20. However you would have lost the £10 you bet on it winning so on this bet you would just break even. In races with 5 runners or les you cannot have an each way bet, with 6 or 7 runners you can only back horses to finish 1st or 2nd and the each odds are ¼.In races of 8 runners or more you get 1/5th the odds for the first three. In 12 to 15 runner handicap races the first 3 are at ¼ odds and in 16 or more runners it is ¼ the first four horses home.

There are also other term used such as Double, Treble and Accumulator. A double is where you select two horses in different races and if they both win you receive the accumulative odds for both horses. If only one horse wins you get nothing. A treble is similar except there are 3 horses selected and again to collect all three horses have to win.

An accumulator bet is normally any number of selections between 4 and 6. If your first horse wins the money rolls on to the second horse and so on until either one of your horses lose or all the selections win. In the latter case you can win a great deal of money but it is rare for a 6 horse accumulator to win and when they do the bookies get a great deal of publicity from it. Doubles, trebles and accumulators can also be each way bets but this will cost you double the stake.

Partners in racehorses take a great deal of pleasure in arriving at the track just after dawn to observe their horse as he exercises, works five furlongs, cools down, has a bath and gets fed and groomed. Life in the world of thoroughbred racing starts early and allows an owner an added dimension for fun. The majority of owners take along a big bag of carrots as treats for their horse and his neighbors in the barn!

In fact, racehorse ownership opens up a whole new vista of activities. Many owners become totally involved with their horses, visiting the track several times a week, subscribing to racing newspapers and trawling the web to glean new insights into their horse’s pedigree and relatives.

Of course, investing in a racehorse as the sole owner is a huge financial commitment, both in the initial outlay and paying the many monthly bills. Thankfully, there is an easier and much more affordable solution: racehorse partnerships.

Buying a share in a thoroughbred partnership will usually give you exactly the same rights and perks as a full owner, although some partnerships will require a minimum five percent stake before they qualify you for an official State Owner’s License. An owner’s license is mandatory for visits to the backstretch, free entrance to the track as an owner, using owners’ parking, etc.

When you start looking, you will find a lot of thoroughbred racing partnerships to pick from. Plainly the most important issue will be that they have shares available in an equine housed at a racetrack in your general location, without this your morning trips will be out of the question. An additional concern is the type of animal they have available: a claiming partnership usually categorizes a more mature racehorse, already well raced, but with a possibility of being claimed away again, so the partnership you are considering could be brief. On the other hand, a younger, still unraced horse could be a more durable prospect. The beginning of his racing career could be months away, but this will provide you with lots of time to familiarize yourself with your investment and follow and savor his progress.

Apply for brochures and advertising material from plenty of horse racing partnerships as well as any trainer you hear of who puts together partnerships. Speak with the trainer or person managing the partnership and determine just how sociable and attainable they seem to be. Don’t forget, even if you plan on buying a limited percentage in their horse, it will make you an owner and that will entitle you to be dealt with as such.

If you can, avoid investing in an animal without seeing it first. A substantial chunk of a racing partnership comprises the time you will spend with him personally. No two horses are the same so be sure you feel confident when in close proximity with your choice. Take someone with you who is familiar with horses and listen to their advice.Absorb and act upon this advice and your hopes of owning your own racehorse can become reality.

Considered as among the most popular forms of betting game, horse racing has been embraced by so many countries in the world. As a matter of fact, the countries that authorize the existence of this wagering game are reaping enormous earnings through it. Only that some countries that patronize this kind of betting game vary in the racing events that are included in the game, the distances of the racing track and the technique used in racing.

For some people horse racing is just a contest but there’s more to it that makes people become horse racing wagering buffs. It is regarded by many as a very exhilarating and money-spinning type of sport. If you don’t know anything on how this game works, then you’re missing the chance to earn profits.

Bet on a horse racing without leaving your seat. Gone are the days when you have to drive long hours and wait in line for tickets on horse racing events. Now, with the advent of the internet, you can bet and even watch horse races right at your very home.

Not living near a race track is no more a problem these days. While live viewing is much better and is sure to raise your adrenaline, you still can’t risk of having missed a horse race betting. Besides, you are no longer limited with the local horse racing events. Your chances of enjoying the whole stuff is increased dramatically since you can bet and monitor your winnings even if the race is happening in the other side of the globe. Beware though, like in all other industries and businesses online horse racing and betting do have their shares of scams and deceptions. Central to this is to know the well-established registered, legal and well-recognized betting online stations to secure both your money and your winnings.

If you place wagers on any horse in any given race in any given event, it is but natural that you would want to know the results of the race, in case you don’t know already. These days, players are not hindered by time zones or geography. A wager can be placed on a racing horse running in a New York based race track, by a player who lives at the opposite side of the globe. That player then watches the outcome of the race via his favored pari-mutuel website at his own leisure.

In the earliest days of horse racing, the only way to know (with all certainty) which horse has won the game or whether the individual’s gamble has paid off was to be physically there at the race tracks and to see the outcome of the race for himself; or at the very least, wait until the papers the next day announce the winners of the events. A player was needed to be physically present when bookies collected wagers and if the event of a winning ticket, bookies paid off dividends right at the race track too. If an individual was not there during pay-offs, chances were that he had to wave his money goodbye. Betting off track was literally unheard off then.

This does not mean you don’t have to think when it comes to betting but it does cut out a lot of the guessing, calculating and red tape that can come hand in hand with the betting process.

An individual must have the information on horse racing tips in order to increase the odds of winning. Not anything is more enjoyable than finding good long shot and then betting it for winning at the horse racing just to cash in large tickets. It is very exhilarating watching horses at the long odds approach flying down to the stretch as well as to understand that an individual was lucky or smart enough to put money on it. But, horse racing is a very tough game to gamble on.

Even with the good horse racing tips gaming enthusiasts find it to be still difficult finding the long shots, which have chances of winning. People at the race track always try to acquire their hands-on the horse racing tips. If anybody has some hot tips concerning a horse then in second race, others would clamor knowing all things about it.
